Deep cuts is a concept created for Columbus record store Magnolia Thunderpussy. The goal of this project was to create an event that brings local music enthusiasts together and build communities through a night of music sharing, collaboration, and exploration at the store. Deep Cuts would be a weekly recurring event at the store where record players are set up, and attendees are invited to bring records to play for others that fit within the genre of the night. The deliverables appeal to humor through references to music snobbery, while challenging customers to a competition of ultimate music knowledge and vinyl repertoire.
